An infographic explaining where I live. More specifically, answering the question “Why do you have to take the ferry if it’s not an island”.

Goal:
Inform people that the BC Sunshine Coast is not an island.

Audience:
General.

Message:
Even though it is only accessible by ferry, the BC Sunshine Coast is not an island.

Tone:
Informational.

Strategy:
I created a series of maps zooming in on the Sunshine Coast to demonstrate how no roads connect this region to the rest of the province. The illustrations are accompanied by short captions set in a script typeface (Rock Salt).

I traced the maps using thickened watercolour on acetate.
